EMDR & Brainspotting

Trauma-Informed Therapy That
Gets to the Root

Experience the healing power of EMDR and Brainspotting therapy from licensed therapists across the state of  Florida.

The weight of carrying trauma, chronic stress, or anxiety can be debilitating.

It is not a requirement to keep reliving it.

Our therapists use evidence-based brain-body therapies like EMDR and Brainspotting to help you process unresolved experiences and feel safer in your body again.

EMDR can best be described as guided surgery for stuck emotional memories. You revisit them briefly, process them while stimulating both sides of the brain, and come out lighter.

Brainspotting can best be described as emotional acupuncture. You find the spot that holds the pain, stay with it, and let your brain and body release it naturally.

Understanding EMDR & Brainspotting

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps you process traumatic memories by using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) to reduce emotional charge and shift how the memory lives in your brain and body.

Brainspotting uses eye position to access deeper areas of the brain tied to unprocessed trauma, chronic stress, or pain. It helps release stuck emotions at the nervous system level, without needing to talk through every detail.

Both therapies are powerful,
somatic-based tools for:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • High-functioning anxiety

  • Chronic pain

  • Perfectionism and inner critic work

  • Grief, phobias, or panic

  • Nervous system dysregulation

  • Depression

  • Performance Issues

  • Relationship Concerns

  • Limiting beliefs

  • Self-esteem

  • Burnout

A Visual Metaphor:

Your Brain is Like a Web Browser:
When something traumatic happens, it’s like a tab that froze mid-load.
You tried to click out, but it just keeps spinning, slowing everything else down.

EMDR is like hitting “Refresh” with a Tech Support Guide.
You go back to that frozen tab (the memory), and while your brain is processing it with eye movements or tapping, it finally finishes loading, and the system can run smoother again.

Brainspotting is like finding the glitch in the code by watching where the freeze started.
You stare at the screen right where the freeze happened (your “brainspot”), and your system starts debugging itself from the inside. You’re not clicking anything, just watching and feeling, and the system rewrites the code on its own.

EMDR helps you reprocess stuck memories.

Brainspotting helps your body release them.

Both get your system back online.
