About Nichole
Nichole has worked in an array of areas, including pediatric hospitals, hospice and end of life care, community mental health, community support services, 501c3 nonprofit institutions, psychiatric institutions, and private practice.
Nichole opened Higher Ground Wellness in 2020 to serve high-achieving individuals who felt disconnected in their personal lives and felt like they were always trying to accomplish tasks without feeling the true celebration or the value of their efforts. Nichole’s experience in the medical field makes her a pillar of support to physicians, nurses, and medical professionals who identify strongly with experiencing compassion fatigue and struggling to find work/life balance.
She believes in supporting the individuals who "have all of their stuff together” because she knows that these individuals check on many individuals but rarely have someone checking on them.
Nichole takes a cognitive behavioral approach and believes in the power of psychoeducation. She wants clients to learn and find value and worth in their capabilities and accomplishments. Nichole helps you to hear yourself differently so you can break the imposter and negative inner critic and shift the way you see yourself to lean into confidence and empowerment.
Nichole is personable and enjoys using humor throughout her sessions to connect with clients. She enjoys providing resources and materials that will help clients in their daily lives and also offers techniques and solution-focused approaches to help clients enhance their well-being and reduce the negative experiences of intense anxiety, burnout, or grief.
Nothing is more rewarding than hearing a client say, “I hear my inner critic differently because I’ve learned to separate my thoughts from facts through our work together.”
A bit more about me
Nichole also offers coaching and consulting to individuals who identify as perfectionists and who want more time and accountability with a coach who will help them level up both personally and professionally. She also provides business coaching and consulting to business owners and entrepreneurs who are looking to establish a practice, build upon something they have, or pivot while enhancing their strengths and skills.
This service is for individuals who feel they have done a fair amount of therapeutic work and want to find someone to help them stay accountable to their goals.
Since becoming a new mom and having significant experience working with new parents and children, Nichole also offers coaching services to individuals who are in the postpartum experience and want to learn how to manage their mental health and the mental load.

"Nichole is the most professional, resourceful, empathetic therapist I have ever experienced in my 24 years of counseling. She has helped me gain a true understanding of who I am and how I may approach the challenging issues in my life. The comfort level I felt with Nichole allowed me to ‘pull down my protective walls’ and finally find the courage to address the burdensome issues that I had carried around for far too long. I have finally found PEACE. I am truly grateful for having Nichole as my therapist."
"Since I started working with Nichole, I have noticed a significant shift and improvement in the way I think, react, and handle my anxiety on a daily basis. Nichole offers an excellent approach on how to live with and utilize anxiety in a positive way rather than dismissing it as a part of who you are."
